GTM Engineer
Turn product ideas into content, distribution, and growth.
We’re building a new kind of software, and we need someone who can help the market understand it.
You’ll work directly with the founder and product team to develop product narratives, create and distribute content, test growth ideas, and increase Agentplace’s visibility in AI-powered search.
This isn’t a role where you wait for a marketing brief. You’ll help decide what to say, where to say it, and how to turn attention into users.
About Agentplace
Agentplace is building an AI-native workspace where teams create and work with AI agents. Our focus is on making agents useful for real business tasks, with the tools to build their interfaces, workflows, and functionality.
We’re based in San Francisco and have been featured in VentureBeat, USA Today, and Fast Company.
What you’ll do
Content and distribution are the main focus. Generative search is a second growth channel to help scale.
- Identify emerging trends, audience questions, and market narratives that can become compelling content.
- Develop product positioning and turn features into clear stories, practical use cases, and demonstrations.
- Publish and distribute content across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
- Create posts, threads, product demos, short videos, and other content formats.
- Work with the team to grow Agentplace’s visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and other AI-powered search experiences.
- Test how content and positioning affect AI search mentions, citations, and recommendations.
- Run growth experiments across landing pages, content, and distribution channels.
- Measure results, learn from what works, and iterate quickly.
What we’re looking for
You’ll work closely with the founder and product team. There’s no large marketing department or established playbook to follow, so you’ll need to develop ideas and execute them yourself.
- Hands-on GTM experience. You understand how positioning, content, distribution, and growth work together.
- Strong editorial instincts. You can spot a good story, write a compelling hook, and make technical products understandable.
- Audience understanding. You know how to create content people want to read, watch, share, and discuss.
- Distribution experience. You’ve grown content or an audience for a startup, product, or founder.
- Generative search knowledge. You understand how AI-powered search surfaces information and want to improve a product’s visibility in these experiences.
- Product storytelling. You can turn features into concrete use cases that make people understand why a product matters.
- Experiment-driven thinking. You test messaging, channels, and growth loops instead of relying on assumptions.
- Fast execution. You’re comfortable moving from an idea to a published experiment without unnecessary process.
Nice to have
- Experience in AI, developer tools, or SaaS.
- A track record of growing an audience on LinkedIn, X, or YouTube.
- Experience working directly with founders at an early-stage startup.
- The ability to create simple product demos or short videos.
What success looks like
- Consistent, high-quality content with effective distribution.
- Clear product narratives backed by real use cases and experiments.
- Growing visibility in AI-powered search experiences.
- More relevant inbound interest and new users.
- A repeatable process for testing messages, content formats, and growth opportunities.
Test task
Build, publish, and learn.
We want to see how you approach product storytelling, distribution, and generative search.
-
Build a product. Sign up at Agentplace, build an AI agent for a niche of your choice using the free Luna model, and publish it publicly.
-
Create a mini launch. Prepare a LinkedIn post, an X thread, a demo video of up to 60 seconds, and three alternative hooks for the post. The content should show what your agent does and why someone would use it.
-
Investigate generative search. Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude three relevant questions where Agentplace could reasonably appear in the answer. One example is “What is the best AI agent builder for small businesses?”
Record which products and sources appear in the answers. Explain what you would change or create to improve Agentplace’s chances of being mentioned, cited, or recommended.
-
Send your results. Include the published agent link, your content, the video, and your generative search findings. Publishing your content publicly is optional, but if you do, include the link.
Expected time: 3 to 4 hours. The Luna model is free to use for the task. Email your result to nikita@agentplace.io with “Application: GTM Engineer” in the subject line.
Terms
- Remote
- Contract
- Compensation: from $3,500 per month
